About
物作り
Monozukuri. Making as a discipline.
The word comes from Japanese manufacturing. It means the quality of the process is the quality of the output. The tooling matters as much as the product.
We build image models. The output should be indistinguishable from a photograph.
The infrastructure for that didn't exist, so we built it. Poros redesigned how QLoRA training uses memory because the alternative was buying more GPUs. Every method we have started as a constraint we refused to accept.
Our Philosophy:
Taste is trainable. Creative quality can be measured, evaluated, and improved. We build the evaluation infrastructure to do it.
Build the missing machinery. If the tool doesn't exist, that's the next piece of research.
Signal over polish. Curated datasets filter out noise and signal. We train on raw human behavior: what gets chosen, what gets ignored.
